The grant is part of the DTI’s Grant for Research and Development scheme. It will cover 60% of core research into software and rendering aspects of Setred’s 3D display. The grant is seen as yet another confirmation of Setred’s leading edge technology.

According to the EEDA, research grants are given to projects that will involve planned research or critical investigation aimed at producing new scientific or technical knowledge, which may be useful in developing new products, processes or services.
