ONGOING MEDICAL PROJECTS

Medical applications for 3D display

Setred and Rikshospitalet run a joint project with the support of Innovation Norway. The objective of the project is to create a number of solutions including Setred’s 3D display in medical applications. The purpose is to provide improvements in terms of increased efficiency and/or quality of care through improved visualisation.

The project started in 2006 and is still running. Doctors at Rikshospitalet are performing studies comparing performing tasks on a 2D display and Setred’s 3D display. The results will be published shortly.

A “Holographic” display test bed for visualisation of digital 3D data from medical applications

Setred has joined a project with the Centre for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV), Lund University Graphics Group (LUGG) and Information and Communication Systems (IKS), Mittuniversitetet in Sweden. The project has received support from the Knowledge Foundation. The objective of the project is to create a demonstrator visualisation solution including a 3D display for a selected clinical application. A qualitative test of a selected clinical application will be performed by a number of physicians.

The project started in June 2008.
